About Superior Tyres
Superior Tyres, known as “The professional team”, is a Melbourne based wholesale and retail company which has been servicing the Melbourne region for over 34 years. A family business, operational since 1974, which boasts a collective wealth of over 50 years experience in the tyre industry and just been awarded the VIC/TAS Dunlop Super Dealer of the Year, for a high level of customer service.

Richard Trumino established Superior Wheel Aligners in 1974. The business was at first a small Retail and Wholesale store employing 2 Staff operating out of a combined Workshop & Warehouse (425 Macaulay Road). With Richard’s understanding of the Tyre industry and business awareness, Superior Aligners quickly grew into the force that it is in the present day, Superior Tyres P/L “The Professional Team”.
Company History
Richard Trumino began his tyre career in 1960 as a Tyre-fitter and Re-groover for A.P Tyre Service in North Melbourne. After obtaining skills swiftly in this area, he then moved on to Major Tyre Service in West Melbourne performing the same tasks.

At the age of 16 Richard began his long lasting relationship with Beaurepaires. Initially a Tyre-fitter for Beaurepaires Melbourne, he then advanced to Stock Control and Trade & Consumer Representation. Richard served for 11 years at Beaurepaires West Footscray, subsequently he managed Ensign in Maidstone prior to starting his own business Superior Aligners in '74.
By the mid 90’s, both of his son’s, David and Damian Trumino, had both chosen to join forces with theirFather and pursue a career in the Tyre Industry.Both with Marketing and Business Management backgrounds they immediately introduced their own unique approach and methods into the business and found it to be a Flourishing combination almost instantaneously.
